Brown-Bread Pudding

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Grate 3/4 lb. of crumbs from a stale brown loaf;
  2. add to these the currants and suet, and be particular that the latter is finely chopped.
  3. Put in the remaining ingredients;
  4. beat the pudding well for a few minutes;
  5. put it into a buttered basin or mould;
  6. tie it down tightly, and boil for nearly 4 hours.
  7. Send sweet sauce to table with it.
