Instructions
- This is a type of acéto-dolce (sweet-and-sour preserve), composed of various fruits such as grapes, plums, apricots, small onions, and cornichons, all prepared in spiced vinegar sweetened with sugar and cinnamon, and heightened with Cayenne pepper.
- As an accompaniment to this hors-d'œuvre, serve small cinnamon biscuits. It is customary to leave this dish on the table throughout the service.
