Stewed Fish Steak

Instructions

  1. Scale, wash, dry, and flour a ~600 g fish steak, then brown it in a little oil and set aside; clean the pan.
  2. Make a fine battuto of onion, white celery, and parsley; cook in oil with salt, pepper, and a whole clove until colored.
  3. Add plenty of tomato sauce or paste dissolved in water and boil briefly.
  4. Return the fish to finish cooking, turning often, and serve with plenty of the thick sauce.
