Common Lobster Sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 pint melted butter
- 1 tablespoon essence of anchovies
- 1/2 saltspoon pounded mace
- less than 1/4 saltspoon cayenne
- 2 tablespoon cream
- lobster flesh
Instructions
- Add essence of anchovies, pounded mace, and cayenne to the melted butter.
- Bring the sauce to a boil.
- Stir in the cream if available.
- Add the diced lobster flesh cut into equal-sized pieces.
- Keep the saucepan by the side of the fire until the fish is quite heated through, but do not let the sauce boil again.
- Serve very hot.
