Another Cheap Gravy for a Fowl

Instructions

  1. Lightly brown the diced ham in a morsel of butter.
  2. Add a little good broth, the peppercorns, and the branches of parsley.
  3. Stew together for half an hour.
  4. If no broth is available, stew the neck of the chicken down to supply its place before combining with the ham and seasonings.
