Bacon Broiled or Fried

Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon evenly into thin slices, called rashers.
  2. Pare away all rind and rust from each slice.
  3. Curl the slices round and fasten them with small slight skewers.
  4. Fry, broil, or toast them in a Dutch oven.
  5. Draw out the skewers before sending to table.
  6. Cook gently so the bacon is well done without being too much dried or hardened; a few minutes will dress them either way.
