Hot Horseradish Sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix the grated horseradish with the brown gravy.
  2. Let it stand by the side of the fire until it is on the point of boiling.
  3. Add salt if required, a teaspoonful of made mustard, and a dessertspoonful of eschalot or garlic vinegar (or chili vinegar in the same quantity, or common vinegar twice as much).
  4. Serve hot with boiled or stewed meat or fish.
