Hot Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients
- 3 oz young tender grated horseradish
- 0.5 pint good brown gravy
- 1 teaspoonful made mustard
- 1 dessertspoonful eschalot or garlic vinegar
- salt
Instructions
- Mix the grated horseradish with the brown gravy.
- Let it stand by the side of the fire until it is on the point of boiling.
- Add salt if required, a teaspoonful of made mustard, and a dessertspoonful of eschalot or garlic vinegar (or chili vinegar in the same quantity, or common vinegar twice as much).
- Serve hot with boiled or stewed meat or fish.
