Milk Soup with Vermicelli

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Bring five pints of milk to a boil.
  2. Add a small quantity of salt to the boiling milk.
  3. Drop the vermicelli lightly into the milk, stirring constantly as you add it to prevent lumping.
  4. Continue to stir very frequently for fifteen to twenty minutes, or until the vermicelli is perfectly tender.
  5. If desired, finish with a little pounded sugar and powdered cinnamon stirred through.
