Instructions
- Spread flour on a tin or dish.
- Color it gently in a low oven or before the fire in a Dutch or American oven.
- Turn it often so the edges do not brown too much before the middle is sufficiently colored.
- Blend the browned flour with butter to use as a thickening agent for soups or gravies.
