Brussels Sprouts

Instructions

  1. Free the Brussels sprouts from all discoloured leaves.
  2. Cut the stems even.
  3. Wash the sprouts thoroughly.
  4. Throw them into a pan of properly salted water.
  5. Boil them quickly for eight to ten minutes.
  6. Drain them well.
  7. Serve them upon a rather thick round of toasted bread buttered on both sides.
  8. Send good melted butter to table with them.
