Yellow (Cornmeal) Gnocchi

Ingredients
- cornmeal
- cheese
- butter
- tomato sauce or conserva
- salt
Instructions
- Salt boiling water and pour in coarse cornmeal a little at a time, stirring constantly; cook until it holds firmly on the spoon.
- Drop the thick mixture in small pieces with a knife onto a serving dish, seasoning each layer with cheese, butter and tomato sauce.
- Mound up and serve hot; optionally enrich like polenta with sausages or like macaroni Bologna style.
