Ginger Pudding

  1. Beat three eggs very light with two cups sugar. Cream the butter and add it to the egg mixture along with one large cup of rich black molasses and one tablespoon of ginger beaten fine. Stir in the sour cream. Dissolve the teaspoon of soda in half a cup of boiling water and add this to the batter. Add flour enough to make a thickish batter. Pour into a deep greased pan and bake quickly. Serve hot with a rich sauce flavored with some orange juice and peel.
