Ingredients

1 egg
0.5 cup sugar
0.333 cup butter
0.333 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup pastry flour
0.5 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup rolled oatmeal
0.5 cup shredded nuts
0.5 cup raisins

Instructions

Beat together the egg, sugar, and butter until creamy. Mix the baking soda with the sifted pastry flour, then combine with the egg mixture along with the salt and cinnamon. Add the rolled oatmeal, shredded nuts, and raisins, and mix well. Drop spoonfuls onto a greased baking tin and bake in a slow oven. Do not add milk or water even if the dough seems stiff.
