Mock Liburnian Oil (Oleum Liburnicum)

Ingredients

• Spanish olive oil
• elecampane (helenium/inula)
• cyperus (galingale root)
• fresh bay leaves
• roasted ground salt

Instructions

1. Pound and sift elecampane, cyperus, and fresh bay leaves to a fine powder; add roasted ground salt.
2. Stir this into Spanish olive oil and mix well for three days or more.
3. Let it rest a while; it will pass for genuine Liburnian oil.
