Ingredients
- 1 kg granulated sugar
- 1.75 liters water
- 0.5 small glass anise essence
- 2 liters alcohol
- 2 small glass orange alcoholate
- 2 sheets filter paper
Instructions
- Dissolve one kilogram of granulated sugar thoroughly in one and three-quarter liters of water.
- Separately, dissolve half a small glass of anise essence in a little alcohol, then mix this into two liters of alcohol. Add this combined alcohol mixture to the prepared sugar and water.
- Add two small glasses of orange alcoholate (alcoholato de naranja) to the mixture.
- Moisten two sheets of filter paper to remove the gum they contain, then cut them into small pieces. Once well broken up, place in a separate jar or vessel and mix with the prepared liquid, beating well. Then pour everything into the main liquid and mix thoroughly.
- Pass the entire mixture through the filter several times until it is completely clarified (well filtered and transparent).
