Braised Fava Beans

Instructions

  1. Heat pork fat in a pan, then add small pieces of bacon, garlic, onion and parsley in good quantity.
  2. When browned, add a sprinkle of pepper, then the fava beans and enough salt.
  3. Cook slowly for one hour, covered with a deep plate holding water, bay leaf, oregano, mint and thyme; drizzle drops of that water into the stew periodically.
  4. After the hour, add ham and blood sausage cut small and half a small cup of anise liqueur.
  5. Let it season half an hour, then serve.
