Syrups for Preserves

Ingredients
- 10 pounds sugar
- 3 pints water
Instructions
- Combine ten pounds of sugar with three pints of clear water (hot or cold).
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Skim the froth from the surface with a spoon as it boils.
- Continue boiling until the froth ceases to collect on the surface.
- When no more froth rises, the syrup is made.
