Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine ten pounds of sugar with three pints of clear water (hot or cold).
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Skim the froth from the surface with a spoon as it boils.
  4. Continue boiling until the froth ceases to collect on the surface.
  5. When no more froth rises, the syrup is made.
