Chicken Soup for the Sick

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Put the old chicken in one gallon of water and boil down to half a gallon.
  2. Strain the meat from the broth.
  3. Tie the yolks of two eggs up in a clean cloth with a little thyme.
  4. Put the cloth bundle into the strained soup.
  5. Return to the pot and boil down to three pints.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Dish up and send to table hot.
