  1. Beat the lard very thoroughly until pale and fluffy. Mix in the sugar. Add the three egg yolks, beaten well. Fold in the three egg whites, beaten to stiff peaks.
  2. Prepare a ring mold (bundt-style, with a center tube that creates a hollow in the finished cake). Butter the mold well. Pour in the batter and bake in the oven until a skewer inserted in the thickest part comes out clean.
