  1. Weigh out equal quantities of red long-grain grapes and sugar. Remove the stems from the grapes and blanch them briefly in very hot water, then spread them on a cloth or plate to dry in the sun. Prepare a well-clarified sugar syrup (almíbar very clarificado), let it cool slightly, then add the dried grapes. Cook over low heat, stirring gently, until the preserve reaches the setting point (punto).
