Raspberry and Currant Jam Combined

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Take an equal quantity of raspberries and currants and squeeze the juice from them.
  2. Measure the juice and put one pint of it to one-half pint of sugar.
  3. Put on to boil, letting it boil till thick as honey.
  4. Add the berries and currants that you squeezed the juice from.
  5. Let all boil together till thick as mush, when it will be cooked.
  6. Put up in bowls, jars or glasses, covering inside with paper wet in brandy.
  7. Put away in a dark place.
