  1. Clean 250 grams of marshmallow root thoroughly.
  2. Bring it to a boil in water, then drain and discard the cooking water.
  3. Place the cleaned marshmallow root in fresh water (1 liter) and simmer until the liquid reduces to half its original volume.
  4. Strain through a fine sieve.
  5. Combine the strained liquid with 500 grams of pilón sugar and bring to a boil, cooking until the mixture reaches a thick syrup consistency (point de jarabe bastante grueso).
