Marshmallow Syrup

Ingredients
- 250 g marshmallow root
- 1 liter water
- 500 g pilón sugar
Instructions
- Clean 250 grams of marshmallow root thoroughly.
- Bring it to a boil in water, then drain and discard the cooking water.
- Place the cleaned marshmallow root in fresh water (1 liter) and simmer until the liquid reduces to half its original volume.
- Strain through a fine sieve.
- Combine the strained liquid with 500 grams of pilón sugar and bring to a boil, cooking until the mixture reaches a thick syrup consistency (point de jarabe bastante grueso).
