Chartreuse Liqueur

Ingredients
- 700 g alcohol
- 1 g angelica root
- 1 g myrtle
- 1 g clove
- 1 g nutmeg
- 1 g vanilla
- 2 g cinnamon
- a few strands saffron
- 600 ml water
- 800 g loaf sugar
Instructions
- Macerate the angelica root, myrtle, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, and saffron strands in the alcohol for three or four days.
- In a separate vessel, dissolve the loaf sugar in the boiling water. Once fully dissolved, mix this syrup very thoroughly with the macerated alcohol.
- Filter the combined mixture through a fine strainer. The resulting liqueur is ready.
