Instructions

  1. Melt the beef lard in a bowl. Once completely melted, add one cup of milk and salt. Beat vigorously, adding flour gradually to achieve the proper consistency, and work the dough until it becomes fine and smooth. Transfer the dough to a marble work surface, roll it out thin with a rolling pin, and shape the empanadas (small pastries) as desired, filling and sealing them in the traditional manner.
