Stewed Red Beans

Ingredients
- red beans (judías encarnadas)
- bacon (tocino)
- ham (jamón)
- 1 onion (cebolla)
- a little lard (manteca)
- a little flour (harina)
- a handful fresh parsley (perejil)
- salt
- black pepper (pimienta)
- a little red wine (vino tinto)
Instructions
- Cook the beans with bacon, ham, and onion until very tender. When the beans are done, add a little lard and flour, along with the chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Sauté the beans together, then moisten them with a little red wine. Let them cook for at least half an hour more, stirring frequently. Serve with the ham cut into small pieces and scattered over the beans.
