Chartreuse Liqueur (Another Formula)

Ingredients
- 2 liters alcohol
- 1 bottle chartreuse essence
- 5 pounds pilón sugar
- 2 1/2 liters water
- saffron
Instructions
- Pour 2 liters of alcohol into a vessel and add one bottle of chartreuse essence.
- Dissolve 5 pounds of pilón sugar in 2.5 liters of water.
- This can be done over heat to speed the process.
- Once the sugar is completely dissolved, incorporate it into the alcohol and essence mixture.
- Add a few threads of saffron to give the liqueur color.
- Filter the mixture. After filtering, combine everything to ensure even color distribution, then bottle.
