Sauce for a Turkey

Ingredients
- 1 loaf bread
- cold water
- a few pepper corns
- a little salt
- 1 onion
- 0.25 pound butter
- 2 spoonfuls thick cream
Instructions
- Cut the crumb of a loaf of bread into thin slices. Put the bread in cold water with a few peppercorns, a little salt, and onion. Boil until the bread is quite soft. Beat the mixture well. Stir in a quarter pound of butter and two spoonfuls of thick cream. Put the sauce in the dish with the turkey.
