French Rolls
Origin: Tidewater Virginia

Ingredients
- 1 quart flour
- salt
- 1 spoonful yeast
- 2 eggs
- 0.5 pint milk
- 1 ounce butter
Instructions
- Sift the flour and add a little salt, a spoonful of yeast, two well-beaten eggs, and half a pint of milk. Knead the dough and set it to rise overnight.
- The next morning, work in an ounce of butter. Shape the dough into small rolls and bake them. The top crust should not be hard.
