An Excellent Way to Dress Fish

  1. Dredge the fish well with flour and sprinkle salt and pepper on them. Fry them to a nice brown color, then set them aside to cool.
  2. Melt a quarter pound of butter in a frying pan. When it boils, fry the tomatoes (skins removed), nicely picked parsley, and a very little chopped onion until done.
  3. Add enough water to make sauce for the fish. Season the sauce with pepper, salt, and pounded cloves. Add some wine and mushroom catsup to the sauce.
  4. Place the fish in the sauce and when thoroughly heated, serve it up.
