Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine the salt and yeast with the quart of flour. Add corn meal gruel gradually until the dough is sufficiently soft. Allow it to rise well. Once risen, transfer to a mould and bake until done.
  2. Note from the author: indifferent flour will rise much better when made with gruel than with fair water.
