Chocolate Cakes

Instructions

  1. Put the brown sugar into the flour and sift together. Make this into a paste with the melted butter and enough milk to wet it. Knead the dough until light.
  2. Roll the dough out tolerably thin and cut it into strips an inch wide and just long enough to lay in a plate. Bake the strips on a griddle.
  3. Arrange them in the plate in rows to checker each other. Serve them to eat with chocolate.
