Olla (A Spanish Dish)

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Put the beef, mutton, chicken or pullet, and pork into a pot with very little water. Set on the fire at ten o'clock to stew gently. Sprinkle the chopped onion, pepper, and salt over the meat before pouring in the water.
  2. At half past twelve, add the peeled and halved apples or pears, tomatos with skin removed, cimblins cut in pieces, chopped mint, lima beans, snaps, and any other vegetables you like. Let all stew together.
  3. At half past two, add the celery tops cut small. Continue stewing until three o'clock.
