Potato Paste

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Boil mealy potatos quite soft, first taking off the skins.
  2. Rub them while hot through a sieve.
  3. Put them in a stew pan over the fire, with as much water as will make it the consistence of thick mush.
  4. Sift one quart of flour and make it into a paste with this mush.
  5. Knead it till light and roll it out thin.
  6. Make the dumplins small and fill them with apples, or any other fruit.
  7. Tie them up in a thick cloth and boil them nicely.
  8. Eat them with butter, sugar, and nutmeg.
