Instructions

  1. Make a quart of rich milk moderately warm. Stir in one large spoonful of prepared rennet and set it by. When cold, it will be as stiff as jelly.
  2. It should be made only a few hours before it is used, or it will become tough and watery. In summer, set the dish in ice after it has jellied.
  3. Serve with powdered sugar, cream, and nutmeg.
