Sugar Ginger Bread

Instructions

  1. Dry and pound the brown sugar, then mix it with the flour. Add the powdered ginger and sift the entire mixture together.
  2. Wash the salt out of the butter and cream it until soft.
  3. Beat the eggs well. Work the flour-sugar-ginger mixture into the creamed butter, then add the froth from the beaten eggs in stages, continuing to work the batter until all ingredients are incorporated and the mixture is quite light.
  4. Add a glass of brandy and stir to combine.
  5. Pour the batter into buttered shallow moulds and bake in a quick oven.
