To Scollop Oysters

Instructions

  1. When the oysters are opened, put them in a bowl and wash them out of their own liquor. Arrange some oysters in scallop shells, then strew a few bread crumbs over them and lay a slice of butter on top. Add another layer of oysters, then more bread crumbs and a slice of butter on the top. Put the shells into a Dutch oven to brown. Serve them up in the shells.
