Croquets

Ingredients
- cold fowl or fresh meat
- ham slices
- 0.5 cup stale bread
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon made mustard
- 1 tablespoon catsup
- butter
- 1 egg yolk
- bread
Instructions
- Chop the cold fowl or fresh meat together with ham slices (both fat and lean) very fine. Add grated stale bread (about half the amount of the meat mixture), salt, pepper, grated nutmeg, made mustard, catsup, and a lump of butter.
- Knead all ingredients well together until the mixture resembles sausage meat.
- Form the mixture into cakes. Dip each cake in beaten egg yolk, then cover thickly with grated bread.
- Fry the croquets until light brown.
