Pastry (Cheap)

Instructions

  1. Rub the flour, half the dripping or lard, and a teaspoonful of baking powder together.
  2. Then mix with the egg and as much water as will make it the right consistency.
  3. Roll out twice, and spread over it the remainder of the fat or butter.
  4. This makes a good pie crust. Butter, if you have it, is better.
