Bard ("Hail" — Fried Batter-Drop Sweet)

Ingredients
- fine semolina flour
- sesame oil
- honey
- rose water
Instructions
- Knead fine semolina into a soft batter and leave it until it ferments.
- Heat sesame oil in the cauldron and drop droplets of batter in so they set; lift them out with a slotted skimmer, drained of oil.
- Dissolve honey in rose water and boil until it gains body, then take off the fire and beat it until it whitens.
- Fold the fried droplets into the honey, turn out onto an oiled slab, gather into a mold shape, cut into pieces, and serve.
