Cake (Queen)

Instructions

  1. Have these ready: 1 lb. butter; a tablespoonful of orange-flower water; 1 lb. white sugar; 10 eggs; a pound and a half of finest flour; half a pound of blanched almonds.
  2. Beat 1 lb. of butter to a cream.
  3. Add the orange-flower water.
  4. Then add the sugar (pounded), the eggs beaten very light, and the pound and a half of finest flour. Beat all well together.
  5. Add half a pound of blanched almonds.
  6. Butter tins and line them with paper; put in the mixture an inch and a half deep.
  7. Bake in a quick oven one hour.
