Sandwiches (Savoury)

Instructions

1. Very savoury sandwiches may be made of bloater paste and the like, according to the receipt for it printed at p. 12, and of boned anchovies and hard-boiled eggs.
2. For afternoon tea, sandwiches made with jam, or with slices of cucumber and lettuce, or with thin omelet, make a nice variety to ordinary bread and butter.
