Dick's Dish (Mrs. Etheridge's Recipe)

Ingredients

• cooked or uncooked meat
• mustard
• pepper
• salt
• plenty of Harvey's Sauce
• 1 slice onion
• stock
• a little flour
• mashed potatoes

Instructions

1. Put slices of cooked or uncooked meat into a pie-dish.
2. Season each piece with mustard, pepper, and salt according to taste, and add plenty of Harvey's Sauce and a slice of onion.
3. Make a good rich gravy by boiling stock and thickening it with a little flour.
4. Pour the gravy over the meat to cover it.
5. Top with a rich crust of mashed potatoes.
6. Bake in an oven.
