Pudding (Apple)

Instructions

  1. Pare and core one pound of apples. Put them in a stewing-pan with sufficient water to stew them to a pulp without burning.
  2. Add the sugar, the grated rind of 1 lemon, and 3 well-beaten eggs. Mix all well together.
  3. Just before baking, stir in the butter.
  4. Line the dish with puff paste, put in the mixture, and bake three-quarters of an hour. Very good.
