Bobotee (A delicate Indian minced curry. Malay or Indian. My mother's Recipe.)

Ingredients
- 1 Onion
- 2 unions
- 2 tablespoons Curry Powder
- 1 dessertspoon Sugar
- 1 large slice White Bread
- 1 cup Milk
- Juice of a Lemon, or 1 tablespoon Vinegar
- 6 or 8 Almonds
- 1 lump Butter
- 6 or 8 Eggs
- Salt
- Minced meat
- 1 Lemon or bay leaf
Instructions
- Mince the meat.
- Soak the bread in milk, then squeeze out dry.
- Fry the onions in a tablespoonful of butter (dripping will do).
- Mix all the ingredients—curry powder, sugar, salt, vinegar—with the fried onion.
- Mix all with the meat and soaked bread.
- Mix one egg with the mixture.
- Whisk the other egg with some milk.
- Pour the whisked egg and milk over the whole after being put into a buttered pie-dish or into little cups, with a lemon or bay leaf stuck into each little cup.
- Put them in the oven to bake.
- Send to table in the cups or pie-dish and serve with rice.
