Instructions

  1. Mince the meat.
  2. Soak the bread in milk, then squeeze out dry.
  3. Fry the onions in a tablespoonful of butter (dripping will do).
  4. Mix all the ingredients—curry powder, sugar, salt, vinegar—with the fried onion.
  5. Mix all with the meat and soaked bread.
  6. Mix one egg with the mixture.
  7. Whisk the other egg with some milk.
  8. Pour the whisked egg and milk over the whole after being put into a buttered pie-dish or into little cups, with a lemon or bay leaf stuck into each little cup.
  9. Put them in the oven to bake.
  10. Send to table in the cups or pie-dish and serve with rice.
