Cream or Lemon Solid (A Similar Recipe)

Instructions

  1. Soak the gelatine in some of 1 quart of new milk for a quarter of an hour.
  2. Add 1 lb. of sugar and the rind of the lemons, cut very thin.
  3. Put the whole in a saucepan and let it boil a few minutes, then stir in the remainder of the cold milk.
  4. When nearly cold, squeeze in the juice of the lemons.
  5. Pour into a wetted or oiled mould and leave till cold. It is better made the day before.
