Dīkbarīka (Vinegar-and-Murrī Meat Stew)

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cut meat into medium pieces, leave in the pot with a little salt, a handful of husked chickpeas, dried and fresh coriander, cut onion, and leek.
  2. Cover with water, boil, and skim the froth.
  3. Add wine vinegar and murrī with a little finely ground pepper; cook until the flavor comes through. Optionally sweeten with a little sugar.
  4. When cooked, throw in a little clove, leave to settle on the fire, and remove.
