Tart (Apple)

Instructions
- Line a tin dish with puff paste. Have ready 1 pint of milk, 1 cup of sugar, 4 eggs, the butter, apples, almonds, and pounded cinnamon.
- Peel and quarter one dozen apples and lay them in the dish, with some blanched and pounded almonds.
- Mix together the milk, the butter beaten to a cream, four eggs, one cup of sugar, and some cinnamon to taste.
- Pour the mixture into the dish, covering the apples.
- Bake in an oven for an hour and more. Anything requiring some time to bake must be covered with a tin plate at first, which can be removed when half-done.
