ʿAdasiyya (Lentil Stew with Chard)

Ingredients

- tail-fat
- salt
- cumin
- dry coriander
- chard
- lentils
- garlic
- lemon juice
Instructions
- Brown the cut meat in rendered tail-fat, then add salt, cumin and ground coriander; cover with water.
- As it nears done, add washed chard cut about four fingers; when the chard is done add water and boil.
- When boiling hard, add cleaned washed lentils and cook until done and set smooth.
- Stir in finely pounded garlic, rest on a gentle fire, lift off, and add lemon juice when serving.
