Cake (Berg River)

Ingredients

• eggs
• sugar
• flour
• 1 lemon
• 25 sweet almonds
• 10 bitter almonds
• citron preserve

Instructions

1. Whisk the eggs to a froth, the whites and their weight in sugar to be mixed first.
2. Then add the yolks and the other ingredients: the weight of 3 eggs in flour, 25 sweet almonds, 10 bitter almonds, a lemon, and some citron preserve.
3. Bake in a buttered mould for one hour.
