Doughnuts (Mrs. Cloete's Recipe)

Ingredients

• 1 lb Flour
• 1 teaspoonful Soda
• 0.5 lb Sugar
• 5 Eggs
• 1 teaspoonful Cream of Tartar
• 1.5 cups Milk
• Lard

Instructions

1. Mix the flour, soda, sugar, eggs, cream of tartar, and milk together until the batter will drop out of a spoon but will not flow.
2. Fry in lard.
